The creation of beauty is Art.”
- Ralph Waldo Emerson
Its not what one necessarily does to themselves, its what they do for themselves. Welcome to Scarlet Cosmetic Studio. A vigorously stirred mixture of your natural features and the creative cosmetic arts. A single source for womens beauty and self expression in the Atlanta metro area.
Youll notice this isnt your typical cosmetics company. And thats not necessarily a bad thing. I dont do typical. Typical is boring. Typical is one-size fits all. The focus here is purely on the art. The art of you. Beauty that reflects your individual style through my artistic expression.
Please take a moment to look around. I offer a wide range of services from paramedical and applied cosmetics to fine art and photography. Told you it wasnt your typical cosmetics company.
Sure, there are a number of ways for a woman to look and feel beautiful. But nothing enhances your appearance quite like the application of Permanent Cosmetics - the tattooing of pigment into the dermal layer of the skin. The results? Stunning.
But first things first, Permanent Cosmetics is a specialized skill within the tattoo industry. If anybody downplays the fact that this is a tattoo, they dont fully understand the procedure (and frankly might not be the best when it comes to artistry). And while some forms have been around for centuries, Permanent Cosmetics as we know it, is a relatively modern evolution on the art of tattooing.
I have a lot in common with my counterparts. I have a lot uncommon with my counterparts. Im a certified member of SPCP, obtained my training at the prestigious Academy of Cosmetic Arts and Sciences located in Boca Raton Florida and recognized by the Department of education #3954 and I am highly skilled and proven in the cosmetic arts, specifically in tattooing makeup. Thats because Permanent Cosmetics combines two great artistic talents and passions of my life - makeup and tattoos.
What is uncommon? The word tattoo doesnt scare me. I dont try to hide the fact that permanent cosmetics is a tattoo. I also see beauty differently from a typical cosmetics technician. In other words, I have the ability to provide you with a timeless look that compliments your individuality. Im not locked into any particular style and will not dictate a one-size-fits-all look for you.
There is always something happening at the Scarlet Cosmetic Studio. Whether its the latest industry news and events, tips for your skin, special cosmetic packages and more, youll find it all right here. So please, have a look around. And if you have any questions, comments or need more information, please drop me a line.

It all starts with a personal consultation where we discuss your look, your style and how I can artistically enhance your natural features. Prior to the procedure, anesthetic ointment is applied for localized numbing and relaxation. The procedure itself consists of tiny needles (finer than traditional tattoo needles) that are used to inject your coloring. Most eyebrow tattooing procedures last an hour and a half, but remember everyone is unique. Immediately following the procedure, the area is cleaned and an antiseptic cream is applied.
It is of utmost importance. In fact, I believe that Permanent Cosmetic safety is naturally more important than any other form of body art or tattooing simply because it deals with the face. Performing cosmetic tattoos in a safe, clean and responsible manner is Scarlet Cosmetic Studios number one priority.
All procedures utilize brand new, sterilized disposable needles, caps, cups, gloves, pigment, barriers and table coverings. Nothing is reused to prevent cross contamination at all stages of a procedure and in-between each client. Additionally Im certified in OSHAs universal precautions to prevent the spread of blood borne pathogens by the Red Cross.
Its the beginning of the new you. But before you can strut your updated look, the healing process must run its course. Similar to a traditional tattoo, this time period is crucial for the long-term success of your treatment. You must always follow the provided instructions on caring for the treated area in the days and weeks following the procedure.
There will be light to moderate swelling and discomfort, typically the day of and the day after treatments. The amount depends on the treatment and the individual response. Its also important to know that the color will initially be darker right after the procedure. Final pigment color will become its permanent shade in about 3 weeks. When will I see you again? Most Permanent Cosmetic procedures require some form of a touch up. This is a natural part of the cosmetic tattooing process that typically takes place one to three months after the procedure has completely healed.
During this meeting, I will evaluate how the pigment is settling, specifically the balance and symmetry of the makeup. It is here that thicker lines, more color and any other polishing touches can be made.
Touch ups are also necessary every five to ten years. These touch ups help maintain the vibrancy of the color that may fade due to environmental factors such as sun exposure, procedural and/or individual factors. So yes, I want to see you again.
I understand that to some women, the idea of Permanent Cosmetics is out of the question. And thats okay. But that doesnt mean you cant fully utilize the art of makeup. In fact, Applied Cosmetics can actually provide a greater creative opportunity just because theyre temporary.
Now of course, it all depends on your unique situation. The look youre trying achieve, your facial features, skin type and wardrobe to name a few. So Ill stop short at saying the possibilities are endless. But theyre pretty close. And thats what I love about them.
Inventive and timeless. Elegant and edgy. Tremendous skill and artistic creativity. These are labels that have been given to me. And although I usually dont accept such titles, Im honored and humbled to carry these on behalf of my two passions — makeup and tattoos.
As a person who rarely wears makeup, I would have never envisioned myself as someone with "permanent makeup". However, that is actually the reason that permanent eyeliner is perfect for me! It's no fuss, no preparation and it looks great all the time. My experience could not have been better. Jessica was extremely professional and made the whole experience fun and easy. She listened to what I wanted and answered all of my questions. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who is looking for beautiful, perfect eyeliner!

Jessica listened to my individual needs, like wanting a more subtle line and finding a pigment to complement my skin tone, and she was patient and professional throughout. It takes a special trust to allow someone to modify your face, and Jessica has that individual touch—you won't feel like just another customer, because Jessica recognizes that permanent makeup is as unique as the client, and will come up with a comprehensive approach to best enhance each person's natural beauty.

I was very hesitant about getting PERMANENT make up. After seeing some pictures I liked what I saw and decided to try the lash enhancement. Jessica was very professional explaining the procedure and what to expect. The procedure itself only lasted about an hour and was not too uncomfortable. It felt strange having something done on my face, but Jessica did a great job making me as comfortable as possible. I loved the results so much I had her thicken the line to eyeliner rather than just the enhancement. The liner is very natural with or with out make up. I would definitely recommend this procedure and Jessica!
